"Loved the pieces, but the delivery was a headache"
I was really excited when I ordered from hay.com because I’d been eyeing a few pieces for a while, and the products looked just as nice as I hoped. But once I placed the order, the delivery part kind of turned into a mini saga. The package ended up arriving late, and for most of the wait I had almost no idea what was going on. The tracking updates were confusing and didn’t really line up with anything, so I kept checking and just getting more annoyed. I did reach out to customer service, and they replied, but the answers didn’t really clear things up or make me feel much better. In the end, I’m happy with what I bought, but for the price, I expected the whole experience to feel a lot smoother

"Returns are such a pain"
Returning this has been such a hassle. I’m still waiting on my refund and it’s getting annoying now.

"Heads up: checkout worked, but confirmation was slow"
Just a heads up for anyone ordering, the checkout process went through fine, but the confirmation took longer than I expected to show up. The order itself was okay in the end, but don’t panic if you don’t get the confirmation right away

"Nice piece, but the delivery was a bit rough"
I ordered this from HAY the item itself is really nice. My sister even commented on how good it looked once I had it set up. That said, the box showed up beaten up, and one corner of the item had a small dent. It wasn’t bad enough for me to go through the hassle of returning it, but it’s still frustrating when you’re buying something brand new. Overall, I’m happy enough with it, but the delivery definitely could’ve been handled better.

"Warranty support was a headache"
I figured the warranty process would be straightforward, but it turned into a whole runaround. I kept getting passed from one person to another, and every time I thought I was finally getting somewhere, I’d end up back at square one. It’s been weeks now and the issue still isn’t fixed, which is really frustrating.

"Looks great, but I’m torn"
I bought a chair from hay.com and I’ll admit, I was excited when it arrived. It looked really clean and stylish, and it still kind of makes the room look better. But for the price, I expected it to feel a lot sturdier than it does.
After a few months of normal use, the legs started feeling a bit loose and the finish chipped way easier than I thought it would. I don’t have kids or pets, so it’s not like it’s been through anything rough. I like the design a lot, but at the same time I’m disappointed enough that I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

"Nice chair, but the packaging was a letdown"
I ordered a chair from HAY the chair itself would’ve been great, but the way it arrived was really disappointing. The box was half crushed, there was barely any padding inside, the corners were bent, and the wrapping was ripped, so it wasn’t exactly surprising that the chair had marks on it.
For something at this price, I expected a lot more care. Maybe I just got unlucky, but based on this order, it feels like their packaging in general isn’t up to the standard of the products they’re selling.

"Looked good at first, but didn’t hold up"
I really liked how it looked when I first got it, but honestly—well, I guess I should say sadly—it broke way sooner than I expected. The quality was just a big letdown for me.

I ordered this chair because the measurements on the product page looked like they’d fit my space, but they were wrong. So now I’ve wasted time and energy dealing with a chair that doesn’t work, and customer support basically just sent me back to the same page with the incorrect info. Frustrating.

It looks nice overall, but the fabric is definitely thinner than I expected. I kept trying to give it a chance and be patient with it, but that got a little annoying because I was hoping it would feel better right away. Not terrible, just not as amazing as I thought it would be.

"Customer service never got back to me"
I ordered from hay.com and ran into an issue with my delivery. I emailed customer service twice and even tried the contact form, but basically got nothing back. No real response, just silence. It’s frustrating, especially when you’re spending that much money and can’t get anyone to help. i wouldn’t order again unless they seriously improve their support

"Looks nice, but why so expensive??"
I bought a chair from hay.com i’m kind of disappointed. It looks good, sure, but for the price?? I expected it to feel a lot more solid and premium. It’s not terrible, but it just doesn’t feel worth what I paid. Would I buy from them again?? Probably not.

"Not exactly fixed, but they did respond"
I had an issue with my order and thought it would be a quick thing to clear up, but it turned into way more back and forth than I expected.

To be fair, customer service did reply, so I guess that’s something, but the responses felt copy-pasted and didn’t really address what I was actually saying. I had to follow up a few times, which got frustrating fast.

In the end, I wouldn’t say the problem was really fixed. I just got tired of chasing it. For what I paid, I expected better support, though I suppose they at least made an attempt

My order took forever to arrive, way longer than I was expecting. When I reached out to support, it felt like they were blaming me for the delay instead of just helping me figure out what was going on. Frustrating experience overall.

"I do really like the look..."
I do really like the look of a lot of HAY pieces. The colors, shapes, all of it feels a bit more interesting than what you see in most furniture shops, but not in an over-the-top way. It’s modern and clean and just, yeah, it looks good without trying too hard.
That said, some things feel like they were designed more for photos than everyday use. I tried a chair that looked great, but after sitting in it for a while, I was kind of ready to get up. So I’d still recommend HAY if style matters to you, just maybe test things out or read the details before buying

"Looks good, but the finish could be smoother"
It looks nice overall, and it definitely does the job, but the craftsmanship isn’t exactly amazing. A few of the joints feel kind of rough, like the edges don’t line up perfectly or weren’t sanded down as much as they could’ve been. It’s the kind of thing you notice when you run your hand over it, or when the light hits it a certain way, or when you’re looking closely at the corners. Not a dealbreaker, and from a distance it looks good, but up close it feels a little less polished than I expected.

"I ordered a chair from HAY because..."
I ordered a chair from HAY because I really liked how clean and simple it looked in the photos. It fits the style of my room really well, so at first I thought I’d made a good choice.

After actually using it, though, I’m disappointed. The seat starts feeling hard after about 10 minutes, and the back support just feels awkward. I keep shifting around trying to get comfortable, which kind of defeats the whole point of having a chair.

For the price, I expected a lot better. It looks nice sitting there, but I barely want to use it, and I definitely regret not thinking more about comfort before buying it

"Payment was quick, confirmation wasn’t"
I expected the confirmation to show up right after my card was charged, but that wasn’t the case. The payment went through almost instantly, and then I was left waiting way longer than I thought I would for the confirmation email. It eventually came through, but the delay made me a little uneasy.

I found about 90% of what I was looking for, so overall the stock was good. The only downside was that one of the chairs I wanted was out of stock, but everything else was easy enough to find.

"Not Quite the Fit I Expected"
I ordered a chair cushion from hay.com thinking the measurements would work, but once it arrived, it was clear something was off. It hangs over the chair in an awkward way and just doesn’t look right. I’m keeping it because returning it feels like more trouble than it’s worth, but let’s just say I wouldn’t make the same choice again.
